Job summary

Confluence Health in Washington seeks an Infusion Therapy RN to provide holistic care for oncology and non-oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and other infusions. You will coordinate care, consult with physicians, and educate patients and families on symptom management.

The role requires current WA RN licensure, BLS, chemotherapy certification within the first year, and strong multitasking and communication.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Washington state or licensure through Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• BLS Health Provider card and renewal every two years.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification within the first year of employment.
• Ability to work independently and to use critical thinking.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and the care team.
• Ability to multitask and handle unpredictable situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic oncology and non-oncology infusion care.
• Assess patients prior to and during each infusion per policy.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and potential side effects.
• Maintain IV/CVAD skills and adhere to infection control policies.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient plans.
• Document care and patient responses in EMR.
