Job summary

CarolinaEast Health System in New Bern, NC is seeking a Staff Nurse to assist physicians in assessing patients and planning care for those undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The role requires two to three years of oncology clinical experience and a strong desire to teach patients, with responsibilities for direct patient care under the Nursing Division.

The Staff Nurse will implement the division's standards of care and office protocols, and will train new clinical staff.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of oncology clinical experience.
• Current RN license with NC Board of Nursing or Temporary License.
• Deliver outstanding patient care per Nursing Division standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in assessing patients and establishing a plan of care during chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
• Train new clinical employees in office protocols.
• Provide direct patient care under Nursing Division direction.
