Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks qualified RN Infusion I/II professionals in Houston, TX. Selected candidates will be placed at the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience, supporting care from chemotherapy to IV therapies under licensed supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved RN program.
• Completion of ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Course within 3 months of employment.
• Valid and current Texas RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• 6+ months of RN experience or 1+ year of KSC experience with approval from Kelsey Seybold Director of Nursing, Cancer Services.
• Experience with EMRs and computer proficiency.
• Proficiency in IV insertion.
• Proven clear communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Apply clinical nursing knowledge to promote safety and comfort of patients and families according to standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide infusion care including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other IV therapies.
• Assess physiological and psychosocial needs, implement nursing interventions, and communicate patient concerns to the healthcare team.
