Job summary

Avera St Anthony's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the regular day shift team. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and support patients and families through education and care planning.

The role requires an active RN license in the state of practice, strong communication, and adherence to safety and care standards. This opportunity includes a 36-hour work week with a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Ability to perform essential job functions including visual acuity and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and coordinating with the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by assessing patients and documenting medical histories and needs.
• Teaches patients and families about care plans, medications, and self-care steps.
• Evaluates patient care by monitoring outcomes and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Maintains a safe and compliant care environment adhering to infection control and policy standards.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient records and department systems.
