AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking an oncology RN for day shifts. You will administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Requires Associate's degree in nursing and RN license with BLS; 1+ year acute care experience; Oncology experience preferred; BSN preferred. Benefits from day one; faith-based organization aligned with a mission to heal.

Qualifications

• RN required
• 1+ year acute care nursing required
• Oncology experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• RN license and BLS required
• ACLS and OCN preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure the appropriate use and stewardship of medical supplies and equipment to support patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff, maintaining professional relationships.
• Assesses patients and responds promptly to changes in their condition.
• Manages emergency patient situations, including codes.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Educates patients and families about treatment plans and care procedures.
• Collaborates with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitors and documents patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Performs diagnostic tests and interprets results to inform patient care.
• Maintains accurate and detailed patient records.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines and PPE usage; adheres to safety regulations.
• Promotes a positive patient experience through caring, clear communication, and teamwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
