Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking an RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician for an outpatient infusion center. The role involves administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies, and delivering safe, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with the care team to meet patient needs, provide education, and uphold quality standards while supporting service excellence and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; planning; implementation and evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice.
• Provides patient-centered care that reflects population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity.
• Partners with patients and families to ensure goals guide the plan of care.
• Practices according to standards for chemotherapy and targeted therapies.
• Meets annual requirements for chemotherapy competence.
• Coordinates delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care and promotes interdisciplinary communication.
• Demonstrates teamwork to support the health care team and fiscal responsibility.
• Supports performance improvement and participates in shared governance at various levels.
• Completes ongoing competency assessments and serves as a preceptor or mentor for staff and students.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and adheres to policies and safety standards.
• Participates in data collection and uses evidence to address practice questions.
• Plans for care across the continuum and supports development of protocols and efficient use of resources.
