Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking a Pharmacist Technician to dispense prescription drugs and assist in preparation under supervision of the pharmacist in charge. You will provide quality patient care and excellent customer service while processing physician orders and managing sterile products.

Ideal candidates have a Pharmacy Technician License, retail pharmacy experience, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• Retail pharmacy or claims reconciliation/accounting background helpful.
• Strong math and numerical calculation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Input customer and prescription data into pharmacy computer system under supervision.
• Prepare and dispense prescription medications with aseptic technique.
• Ensure excellent customer service in the Retail Pharmacy department.
• Inventory control and handling of packing slips and invoices.
• Follow CHC protocols and safety guidelines for cytotoxic agents.
