Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking an Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of sterile medications for oncology and infusion patients at Simon Cancer Center. You will work under a licensed pharmacist in a fast-paced academic medical center environment, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA).
• Ability to work in a sterile compounding and hazardous drug environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound hazardous and non-hazardous sterile medications in compliance with USP and IU Health policies.
• Maintain aseptic technique in cleanroom environments (ISO Class 5/7/8).
• Manage inventory for infusion pharmacy areas; receive, stock, rotate, and remove expired meds.
• Support with ordering and maintaining par levels for infusion meds and supplies.
• Ensure timely delivery of prepared medications to infusion clinics and communicate readiness to care teams.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety reporting, and compliance audits as needed.
