Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center, the National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Florida, seeks an Oncology Pharmacy leader to supervise staff and coordinate pharmacy services. You will oversee operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with clinical programs to integrate pharmacy into patient care.

The role emphasizes building budgets, participating in quality improvement, and developing staff through education and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required.
• Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license is required.
• Minimum equivalent of 3 years of oncology pharmacy experience (3 years of oncology experience or completion of Oncology Specialty residency).
• Experience with the medication use process in a hospital and/or clinic setting.
• Training and experience with supervising staff.
• Excellent communications (written and verbal), facilitation, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, structure, and motivation to a specific service area of the pharmacy and manage assigned staff.
• Interact and collaborate with other Moffitt departments and programs.
• Supervise and coordinate the operations of pharmacy services in areas of assigned responsibility, recommending policy, and ensuring integration with other departments.
• Represent the pharmacy in hospital management meetings and ensure medication related issues and services include pharmacy consideration.
• Ensure quality, safety, regulatory, financial, and legal standards are met for optimal patient care.
