Job summary

UC San Diego Health's Infusion pharmacy seeks a highly motivated and compassionate pharmacist to join our team. This position focuses on comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients receiving chemotherapy infusions in ambulatory oncology at Moores Cancer Center and Koman Outpatient Pavilion.

The pharmacist will review regimens, oversee chemotherapy preparation, counsel patients, and serve as a preceptor, contributing to quality improvement in oncology care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or equivalent clinical experience.
• Registered Pharmacist - California (RPH).
• PGY2 Oncology Residency or PGY1 + 1 year, or 4 years pharmacist experience may meet minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review chemotherapy regimens for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy medications.
• Counsel patients receiving chemotherapy infusions.
• Serve as a preceptor to pharmacy residents and students.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives in oncology care.
