Job summary

Hematology Oncology of Indiana is seeking an Infusion Nurse RN (FT) to provide safe, accurate patient care in an oncology setting. You will assess patients, review labs and vital signs, verify dosing, administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans.

Responsibilities include thorough EMR documentation, triage as needed, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and active RN license in state of employment.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Fluency in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents to patients as ordered by providers.
• Perform patient assessment, review labs and vital signs, and ensure dose verification and accurate drug administration.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and planned treatment course; provide triage by phone when needed.
• Document treatment in EMR accurately and timely; ensure proper charges are captured.
• Assist in inventory, restock supplies, and train new staff per JBIs; maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Work across multiple sites and be prepared for overtime as required.
