Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for the Infusion Clinic on a PRN basis in the Richardson/Plano, TX area. The role requires graduation from an approved nursing program, a current Texas license, and BLS certification.

You will assess patients, educate families, and coordinate care across the oncology continuum, delivering evidence-based nursing care under supervision. PRN status offers flexibility within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• 1 year nursing experience.
• Current Texas (or BNE Compact State) nursing license and BLS certification from AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents health status across age groups and communicates findings to the care team.
• Develops care plans using the nursing process and evidence-based knowledge.
• Provides education and resources to patients and families for informed decisions.
• Coordinates and supervises care assignments among healthcare staff.
• Prepares for procedures and ensures supplies and equipment are ready.
• Documents interventions, education, and patient outcomes accurately and timely.
