Job summary

Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized oncology nursing care under physician supervision. You will assess patients, administer therapies, document care, and support patient education while maintaining safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have BSN, an active RN license, BLS certification, and 3–5 years of oncology experience; certification in oncology is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and current RN license required.
• BLS certification is required and continuing education is expected.
• 3-5 years of nursing experience, with oncology experience preferred.
• Oncology certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
• Assess health status by interviewing patients and reviewing history.
• Document nursing assessments and interventions accurately.
• Administer therapies under physician supervision and manage dose modifications as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow OSHA guidelines for cytotoxic handling.
• Support patient education and psychosocial needs; coordinate referrals and tests.
