Job summary

California Specialty Pharmacy LLC is seeking an Oncology & Infusion Nurse Practitioner – Per Diem in Fresno, CA. The NP will provide advanced clinical care for chemotherapy and infusion therapies, perform comprehensive patient assessments, review treatment parameters, and oversee infusion safety with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires CA RN/NP licenses, NP board certification, DEA as applicable, BLS, and oncology infusion experience.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP from an accredited NP program.
• California RN and NP licenses in good standing.
• National NP board certification.
• DEA registration when required for assigned responsibilities.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card or completion within timeframe.
• Minimum two years oncology infusion experience.
• Experience recognizing and managing chemotherapy toxicities and infusion reactions (preferred).
• Knowledge of hazardous drug handling, infection prevention and emergency response procedures.
• Background screening and other employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical care and oversight for patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy and infusion therapies.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and assess treatment readiness.
• Review lab values, dosing, and provider authorization before chemotherapy.
• Oversee safe administration of infusion therapies and manage adverse events.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists and nursing staff on treatment plans.
• Educate patients and caregivers on plan, side effects and safety.
• Document assessments and care plans in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in staff education, policy development and quality improvement.
