Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles seeks a Nurse Practitioner to support oncology urgent care and the infusion center. The role requires CA RN and NP licenses, an MSN/DNP in NP, and national certification, with BLS and prescriptive authority for Schedule II medications.

The NP will work a 3 x twelve-hour shift schedule, with potential weekends/holidays, and will evaluate patients, implement SPs, coordinate care, educate families, and participate in rounds to ensure safe continuity of care.

Qualifications

• CA RN and CA NP license required.
• MSN/DNP in NP specialty required (Adult Acute Care strongly preferred).
• National Certification in NP specialty required.
• BLS certification required.
• NP furnishing with Schedule II, NPI, DEA, PECOS, CURES enrollment required.
• 5+ years of oncology-certified nursing experience preferred.
• NP experience required.
• 2+ years NP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing SPs in oncology urgent care and infusion center.
• Evaluate patients with oncologic diagnoses and emergencies and adjust treatment based on signs, symptoms and reactions.
• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, promote safe continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, provide education and support, and make referrals as needed.
