UofL Health, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant for the UofL Outpatient Center, Surgery, in Louisville, KY. The role requires assisting in oncology and infusion settings, managing patient flow, vitals, phlebotomy, and coordination with physicians and nurses.

The position emphasizes clinical support, documentation in the EMR, and basic procedures under supervision. A high school diploma and BLS are required; CCMA preferred.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• No prior experience required for Certified Medical Assistants newly graduated from vocational/technical training in Medical Assistant.
• Six months of experience in a clinical setting for uncertified applicants (required).
• Certification: BLS by AHA required; CCMA preferred.

Mansioni

• Maintains patient flow in Clinic and Infusion area, rooms patients promptly and notifies physicians of special needs.
• Assists providers and RNs with discharges and with procedures like biopsies and injections.
• Obtains vitals, height/weight, medical histories, and relevant information; documents in EMR.
• Performs phlebotomy, lab procedures, immunizations, and IV placement (non-chemo) as needed.
• Answers phones, updates EMR, and assists with patient scheduling and coordination.
