Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Central Iowa Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) in Oncology/Hematology. The NP will provide comprehensive clinical services, emphasizing quality and timely veteran care within the Oncology/Hematology Service.

Applicants must have an NP degree (MSN/post-master's/doctorate), active NP licensure in the U.S. (or DC), and current board certification in a recognized NP specialty.

Qualifications

• Education: a post-master’s certificate or master’s or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner; must graduate from an approved nursing school.
• License: active, current, full NP license to practice as an NP in the US or DC.
• Basic Board Certification: must maintain board certification in one of the listed NP specialties (FNP, ANP, AGPCNP, ACNP, AGACNP, GNP).

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of NP services in Oncology/Hematology with emphasis on quality and timeliness.
• Demonstrate leadership in delivering holistic care within the VA system.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
