Job summary

CHOC Specialists in Orange, CA is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Inpatient Oncology Float team. The role supports pediatric oncology patients across inpatient and infusion settings, evaluating, diagnosing and treating under attending supervision.

You will work 4x10 hour shifts, including weekends/holidays, with no call or nights, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary oncology team, and provide consultation and education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• California licensure as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum 2 years bedside oncology experience.
• Clinical PA/NP experience desired.

Oncology – Advanced Practice Provider-Inpatient Float Position CHOC Specialists, in-conjunction with Rady Children’s Health-Orange County is seeking a qualified advanced practice pediatric oncology provider. With demonstrated expertise in oncology, the Advanced Practice Provider will function in a support role as a clinical expert in the management of pediatric oncology patients within a family-centered care environment. Under the direction of the Attending Physician and practicing within developed standardized procedures and process protocols, the Advanced Practice Provider will evaluate, diagnose and treat oncology patients in an outpatient setting. Central to the role, the Advanced Practice Provider will assist in developing and implementing plans of care for all patients in the outpatient clinic or infusion center (OPI) and functions in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary oncology team, while also providing consultation and education to patients and their families. Inpatient Pediatric Oncology • Full Time, Float Position • 100% Inpatient • 4 x 10hr Shifts (Includes weekend & Holiday work) • No Call, No Nights • Procedures Required • Salary & Full Benefits Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements The successful candidate will be a California licensed and certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with at least two years of bedside experience in direct oncology care. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills. At least one year of clinical Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner experience is desired, but not mandatory.
