Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based Healthcare Access Specialist to educate providers on patient support programs, reimbursement options, and payer policies. The role is within a reasonable distance from the primary city, with candidates potentially in Lexington, KY or Columbus, OH.

You will collaborate with oncology stakeholders for key account management, monitor payer trends, and maintain provider relationships across the territory.

Qualifications

• Oncology experience with physician-administered therapies or reimbursement knowledge.
• Understanding coverage, coding, billing, and payer policy requirements.
• Strong communication of complex reimbursement concepts across regional teams.
• Must possess HCIR credentialing requirements compliance.

Responsibilities

• Educate healthcare professionals on patient support programs and access tools.
• Advise on payor policies, networks, and distribution for specialty medicines.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Monitor payer trends and communicate insights to patient services teams.
• Build and maintain provider relationships within the territory.
• Stay current on managed care and reimbursement policies.
