Job summary

IQVIA, in partnership with Exelixis, seeks Medical Science Liaisons to engage clinicians in community oncology through compliant, non-promotional scientific dialogue and disease‑state education, supporting pre‑launch and early launch activities.

The MSL will build scientific relationships across assigned territory, report field insights on treatment landscapes, and support advisory boards, congresses, and cross‑functional collaboration with medical affairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Life Sciences, BSN).
• 2 years of relevant oncology-facing experience.
• Understanding of compliant, non-promotional scientific exchange.
• Experience in regulated healthcare environments.
• Ability to manage territory activity in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
• Valid driver’s license and frequent domestic travel (up to 70%).

Responsibilities

• Act as scientific point of contact for Exelixis Medical Affairs.
• Engage oncology HCPs and APPs in compliant, fair-balanced scientific exchange.
• Deliver scientific education and disease-state discussions with approved materials.
• Develop and maintain scientific relationships within assigned territory.
• Report field intelligence on treatment landscape, trends, and competitors.
• Support clinical development and operations activities, including site visits.
• Participate in advisory boards and at medical congresses with session summaries.
• Represent Exelixis to cross-functional partners within approved boundaries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of studies, compounds, disease states, and pathways.
• Travel frequently and maintain professional image aligned with industry ethics.
