• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or obtained within the orientation period.
• Licensed through the State of Louisiana Board of Examiners in Dietetics and Nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Provides nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy integrated with the patient's medical goals and assists with ensuring compliance with ADA requirements and standards.
• Evaluates, interprets, monitors and documents the nutritional status and needs of hospitalized patients and out patients using established standards of care and practice guidelines.
• Identifies continuing education opportunities and complies with Nutrition Services meeting and attendance standards.
• Teaches group nutrition education sessions and presents nutrition-related information to community groups.
