Job summary

BillionToOne Inc. in Menlo Park seeks a Development Associate for the Oncology Development and Process Engineering team. You will work on molecular assay development, data analysis, experimental design, and automation to support clinical patient testing in a high-throughput CLIA lab.

Responsible for wet lab work, computational analysis (R/Python), and technology transfer across departments to scale workflows. Great growth in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Biophysics, or related fields
• At least 12 months of experience with molecular biology techniques in a research or clinical lab
• Solid foundation in quantitative data analysis, statistics, and experimental design with familiarity in R or Python
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional teams
• Proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Assay and method development to fit evolving clinical needs
• Computational data analysis using analytical and computational methods; develop software tools to analyze experiments
• Support assay validations and regulatory derisking
• Present technical findings in group meetings and reports
• Wet lab execution and documentation of procedures and results
• Tech transfer to scale assays into high-throughput clinical lab operations
• Troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement improvements
