Savista, LLC is seeking an Oncology Data Specialist – Abstractors to perform clinical data abstraction for cancer cases across reporting guidelines. The role requires active ODS-C certification and precise data handling within a HIPAA-compliant remote environment.

Oncology Data Specialist – Abstractors are responsible to complete clinical data abstraction for all reportable & non-reportable primary sites of cancer according to the reporting and timeliness guidelines established by the CoC, SEER, State Registries and other Standard Setters as required.
Maintains Active ODS-C certification Meets productivity standards and quality benchmarks while assuring the confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness of all cancer-related health information encountered. Up-to-date on all current state and national reporting guidelines. Complies with all Savista/client HIPAA and other privacy requirements and regulations. Maintains compliance with client’s abstracting policies and procedures. Participates in training, CEU activities and continuous learning initiatives.
May coordinate required submissions from the State Registry and CoC.
High-speed internet access and experience with remote access, set-up, and troubleshooting technical issues. Secure home office HIPAA compliant. This position is remote but may be required to be onsite as needed.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Note: Savista is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The hourly range for this role is from $29 - $35. However, specific compensation for the role will vary within the above range based on many factors including but not limited to geographic location, candidate experience, applicable certifications, and skills. skills.
