Qualifications

• Six months coding experience in an oncology setting.
• Thorough understanding of Medicaid, HMO's, PPO's and private insurance companies.
• Generates alternatives and possible solutions.

Responsibilities

• Translate diagnoses and procedures into codes using ICD and CPT systems.
• Generate accurate claims to insurance companies.
• Review medical records for accurate coding with a minimum of 95% accuracy.

Skills

ICD9, CPT, and chemotherapy infusion billing knowledge

Ability to identify and analyze problems

Above average keyboarding and data entry skills

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Collaborative working with physicians and other staff

Education
