Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED and Medical Assistant Certification or an active LPN license.
• 2–4 years’ experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification, if not, obtained within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists with patient flow.
• Assists with preparatory activities, vital signs, and documents abnormalities.
• Assists physicians with patient care including minor procedures.
• Reviews patient history and ensures encounter forms are complete.
• Collects and prepares lab specimens.
• Submit prescriptions/refills to pharmacies electronically.
• Answer calls, relay test results and instructions to patients and physicians.
• Follow privacy and safety rules and Dayton Physicians Core Values.
• Other duties as assigned.
