Job summary

UW Health SwedishAmerican in Rockford, IL is seeking an Oncology Clinical Trials Research RN for a 100% FTE day shift role at the Carbone Cancer Center. You will lead and coordinate trials, ensuring safety, compliance, and meticulous data collection while supporting patients and families.

Collaborate with physicians and interdepartmental teams, educate patients on trial protocols, manage side effects, and contribute to data integrity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• 2 years Oncology Clinical Research experience required.
• Current Illinois RN licensure required.

Job description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Day Shift Role. Monday - Friday with work hours between 0700 - 1800; no weekends or holidays. You will work at the Carbone Cancer Center in Rockford.

We are looking for an Oncology Clinical Trials Research RN to:

• Lead and coordinate clinical trial participation, ensuring studies are conducted safely, compliantly, and with exceptional attention to detail.
• Educate and support patients and families, guiding them through trial protocols, treatment plans, side effects, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdepartmental teams, serving as a trusted resource for trial selection, data integrity, and regulatory requirements.
• Make a meaningful impact in oncology research, contributing to advancements in cancer care through high-quality data management and continuous improvement.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
• Overtime
• On-call pay

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required
• Master's or Doctorate Degree. Preferred

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience in Oncology Clinical Research. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN licensure from the State of Illinois. Required
