Job summary

The University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center is seeking a nurse to coordinate multiple oncology/hematology clinical trials. You will manage start-up to closeout, assist with patient enrollment, and educate staff and families on protocols, potential side effects, and safety measures.

Required BSN and Minnesota RN licensure with 4+ years of nursing experience (or 8 years education/experience); oncology or clinical research experience strongly preferred. EPIC/Oncore experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Nursing and MN nursing license in Minnesota.
• At least 4 years of professional nursing experience or an advanced degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 8 years combined education/experience.
• Pediatric or adult oncology/hematology clinical experience or clinical research experience.
• Experience with Word, Outlook, and web-based systems for tracking activities and information.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, problem solve and prioritize multiple studies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of multiple oncology/hematology trials.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Assist with start-up, patient recruitment, consent, enrollment, and registrations.
• Provide education to staff, patients, and families about protocols and side effects.
• Ensure data collection and entry from charts, EMR, and communications.
• Support regulatory documentation and adverse event reporting.
