Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Clinical Scientist in Oncology to collaborate with Medical Directors on medical plans and data reviews, ensuring compliance with ICH/GCP standards. The role requires coordinating with external experts and cross-functional teams to support study execution.

The position involves data interpretation, safety reviews, and preparing medical documentation. It emphasizes a collaborative environment with opportunities to work across therapeutic areas and regulatory activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop medical plans with Medical Director and coordinate input from external experts/advisors.
• Perform regular and ad-hoc medical reviews of data listings and visualizations; analyze data for risks and trends; document reviews.
• Author medical data queries and responses; approve query closures with Medical Director.
• Assist Medical Director in patient profile reviews and protocol deviation reviews; create Medical Review Summary reports as needed.
• Partner with Medical Directors for data review and safety review meetings; prepare slides as needed.
• Manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables; act as primary interface between internal team, customers, and vendors for medical data review and eligibility reviews.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Data Management, Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance, and Project Management to identify data integrity and subject safety risks; escalate issues promptly.
• Attend Trusted Process meetings and potentially participate in internal and external audits.
• Acquire basic understanding of ongoing protocol designs and disease terminology; maintain awareness of pathology.
• Adhere to data privacy guidelines, ICH, GCPs, enterprise policies and SOPs; align with customer policies as required.
