Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Westwood, KS is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator (RN) – Oncology to support clinical trials and provide expert nursing care. You will collaborate with investigators, staff, and sponsors to ensure protocol compliance and patient safety.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Nursing; hematology/oncology experience and RN licensure; BLS and HIPAA/GCP training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree Nursing or higher.
• Preferred hematology/oncology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with investigators, practitioners, coordinators, sponsors, and nursing leaders to review and prepare for upcoming clinical trials.
• Coordinate and perform study tasks per clinical trial protocols; may administer investigational drugs or devices.
• Ensure welfare and safety of patients; protect privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA and applicable law.
• Maintain accurate data collection, documentation, and reporting for research coordinators.
• Educate patients and families about health care needs, safety, and benefits.
