Eikon Therapeutics in Jersey City, NJ, seeks an Executive Director, Clinical Research (Medical Director) to lead oncology clinical development, provide medical oversight, and drive strategic direction across multiple studies.

The role requires a physician with 10+ years of oncology experience, strong leadership in cross-functional teams, and hands-on medical monitoring, with on-site presence in NJ/CA as needed to ensure delivery of high-quality trials and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of clinical experience with an MD or DO degree, significant experience in Oncology required.
• Significant experience in clinical practice with direct patient care (preferably in Oncology)
• Proven track record in leading clinical trials, including medical monitoring of early and late clinical trials and managing complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical research methodologies, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Experience with IND and/or NDA filings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct clinical development trials across stages, including safety and efficacy assessments and medical monitoring.
• Collaborate with biomarker, discovery, and translational research scientists.
• Provide leadership for Clinical teams in a matrix environment.
• Interpret reports and contribute to strategic disease-area discussions.
• Partner with discovery, translational, regulatory, and external partners for study execution.
