Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Greater Atlanta Area

• Our client, a well-regarded, community-rooted health system in the Greater Atlanta area is growing its Oncology/Infusion pharmacy team and is looking for a Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to help lead that growth.

The Opportunity

• This is a rare daytime schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM — no nights, weekends, or rotating call — suited to a PharmD who wants substantive oncology-focused clinical practice alongside genuine work-life balance.
• You’ll serve as the pharmacotherapy resource for a patient population spanning neonates through older adults, providing direct clinical consultation, resolving complex medication issues, and helping shape evidence-based treatment protocols alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Required Experience

• Clinical pharmacy experience in an oncology setting
• Experience precepting residents or students, serving on a Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, or leading medication-safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency (will consider candidates with strong clinical experience of 5 plus years in oncology/infusion specialized pharmacy)
• Active pharmacist licensure in Georgia, or eligibility for licensure

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve medication-related issues through interdisciplinary rounds, profile review, and consult follow-up
• Recommend safe, evidence-based, cost-conscious pharmacotherapy across a patient population ranging from neonatal to geriatric
• Partner with the Medication Safety team to detect, mitigate, and prevent adverse drug events
• Develop and maintain evidence-based treatment pathways, clinical protocols, and order sets
• Serve as a preceptor for the pharmacy residency program and pharmacy students, helping train the next generation of clinical pharmacists
• Respond to drug information requests and provide medication education to patients, families, and providers
• Serve as an active voice on the P&T Committee and system-wide clinical committees, including Antimicrobial Stewardship, Sepsis, and Stroke groups
• Represent the pharmacy department during regulatory surveys and support ongoing compliance with medication-management standards
