Job summary

Ascension St Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital in Anderson, IN, is seeking a Pharmacist for the Oncology/Pharmacy team. You will review medication orders, provide drug information, and support clinicians to ensure optimal cancer care.

The role includes supervising pharmacy technicians and potentially precepting students, with opportunities to float to cover needs. Requires a Pharmacist license from Indiana and a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Pharmacy.

Qualifications

Indiana Pharmacist license required
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy
Oncology pharmacy experience preferred

Responsibilities

Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.
Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate.
Compounds and dispenses medications for accurate delivery to patients and provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
Communicates with physicians and other clinicians to facilitate care.
Oversees technical personnel in preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
Assists with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students and may float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs.
