Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to provide clinical leadership, participate in residency programs, and precept students on IPPE and APPE rotations. The role involves active patient rounding, medication therapy planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team to optimize care.

The position emphasizes supervising pharmacy technicians, verifying orders, maintaining drug inventories, and supporting clinical service development.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• CT Pharmacist license required.
• Experience in hospital setting or residency preferred.
• Competency in direct patient care across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise non-pharmacist personnel and oversee workflow.
• Verify orders for dose accuracy and drug interactions; monitor labs.
• Manage narcotic inventories and regulatory filings.
• Advise clinicians on drug interactions, compatibility and administration.
• Participate in department programs and quality initiatives.
• Routinely round with the care team and develop patient relationships.
