Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Clinical Faculty (Open Rank)/Clinical Pharmacist to join the Hematology/Oncology service in the Retzky College of Pharmacy. The role combines hospital-based pharmaceutical care with teaching—didactic lectures and precepting PharmD students and residents.

Qualifications

PharmD and PGY1 residency experience required.
PGY2 residency in Oncology, or 2-3 years of equivalent clinical experience as a clinical pharmacist in hematology and oncology, is required.
Candidates must present evidence of, or eligibility for, Illinois licensure as a professional pharmacist at time of employment.
Strong communication skills; ability to meet deadlines; adaptability and organization.

Responsibilities

Medication review and reconciliation; dosing recommendations.
TPN management and immunosuppression/prophylaxis decisions.
Manage nausea and pain; therapeutic drug monitoring; provide drug information and patient education.
Nurse/physician/pharmacy staff development; QA projects; protocol development.
