Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to support administrative duties while working closely with the unit Director/Manager. The role focuses on leading staff, guiding care plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

It also includes delivering patient care when needed and shaping department plans for performance improvement. The position requires an active RN license, BSN preferred, and current BLS/ACLS certifications, with at least two years of clinical nursing

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel; communicates with staff, physicians and administration.
• Directs, supervises and evaluates personnel; ensures efficient department operations and proper use of time and resources.
• Performs direct patient care as needed and continually assess care to guide changes in the care plan.
