Job summary

Tennessee Oncology in Nashville seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct, safe patient care under the supervision of MD/NP. You will take vitals, assist with rooming, and enter data into the EMR to support efficient clinic flow.

Responsibilities include medication verification, patient education, triage calls, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and assisting with procedures. CMA/CCMA preferred; BLS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant Training Program or 6 months MA healthcare experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA).
• Current BLS provider card within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct safe, quality care under provider supervision.
• Screen, room, and prepare patients for examination; take vitals.
• Review/verify meds, allergies, and chart in EMR.
• Support calls, triage, and coordinate referrals with staff.
