Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support in a clinic setting. The LPN will also care for central lines, ports, and drawing labs as part of patient care responsibilities, under close supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and Diploma Practical Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assists healthcare professionals to deliver patient care by preparing examination rooms, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records.
• Processes recommendations from healthcare providers, such as medication orders, referrals, and diagnostic tests, to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
• Provides patient education and support by explaining treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Handles administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient documentation, managing medical supplies, and assisting with medical billing and insurance claims.
• Supports medical professionals during appointments and clinic visits, providing crucial patient history information to best treat the patient.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
