Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the hospital care team under supervision. The role focuses on documentation, care plan implementation, sterile technique, patient communication, and safety. Eligible new graduates can join the Cone Health LPN Academy.

Required: NC LPN license, BLS; Education includes a PN diploma and ADN within four years. Position is hospital-based and on-site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma in Practical Nursing required.
• ADN required within 4 years of hire.
• Current NC LPN license required + BLS CPR.
• New LPN graduates may enter Cone Health LPN Academy.

Responsibilities

• Supports the care team by collecting patient history and medical information for documentation.
• Assists in developing and implementing care plans under supervision.
• Ensures sterile technique and safety per Cone Health policies.
• Communicates health care instructions to patients and families.
• Aids in responding to emergencies and safety hazards with PPE and hospital precautions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
