DHR Health in Edinburg, TX, is seeking a Tumor Registry Manager for the Oncology Institute (days, full time). You will lead the registry team, ensuring accurate case identification, abstraction, reporting and follow-up for all reportable cancers, in line with ACOS CoC standards.

Qualifications include an Associate’s in Health Information Management, CTR certification, and 3+ years of registry experience with 2 years of supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Current CTR certification required.
• Minimum three years of cancer registry experience in a hospital setting.
• Two years supervisory experience; supervising Certified Tumor Registrars preferred.
• Knowledge of ACOS CoC standards and state reporting guidelines.
• Experience with FORDS, STORE, SEER, ICD-9/ICD-10, ICD-O3 and AJCC staging.

Responsabilités

• Accountable for day-to-day operations and oversight of the Cancer Registry team.
• Train cancer registry staff and supervise workload.
• Assist program leadership to ensure ACOS CoC standards compliance.
• Coordinate data requests with surgical, radiation and medical oncology teams.
• Assist with data queries for patient care evaluation studies.
• Perform case identification, abstraction, coding, submission, and staging.
• Ensure compliance with state reporting guidelines and NCDB requirements.
• Organize Cancer Committee meetings and support NAPBC accreditation efforts.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and clear written/verbal communication.
