Job summary

Navista, part of Cardinal Health, seeks a Supervisor of Benefits Eligibility and Authorization to lead the oncology authorization team. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate with clinical and financial teams, and drive timely financial clearance for treatments across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include overseeing pre-authorization workflows, monitoring KPIs, and reducing denials while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient access. Strong leadership and EHR proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field.
• 5+ years in healthcare prior authorization, financial clearance, patient access, or revenue cycle.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory experience in healthcare.
• Oncology, infusion, radiation or specialty authorization experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, commercial payer and IPA requirements.
• Experience reducing denials and improving workflow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of oncology authorization team for timely approvals.
• Monitor queues, set priorities, and manage staff productivity.
• Oversee prior authorization, referrals, and medical necessity processes.
• Review escalations and payer issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure authorizations are obtained and renewed to avoid delays.
• Collaborate with physicians and teams to resolve barriers to authorization.
• Lead daily huddles, coaching, and workflow reviews.
• Track turnaround times, aging inventories, and denial trends.
• Maintain expertise on payer policies and regulatory changes.
