Cardinal Health is seeking a Lead Coordinator for Benefits Eligibility and Authorization to manage the Eligibility and Authorization team across multiple sites. You will verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations, and support oncology-related billing workflows with a hands-on leadership approach.

You'll train coordinators, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with patients and internal teams to ensure accurate coverage decisions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in a medical business office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiar with Urology, Chemotherapy, PET, and Radiation Billing.
• Experience with computerized billing software and interpreting EOBs.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and CPT coding.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and computer/telephony support.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily workflow support and problem-solving assistance via SOPs and reference documents.
• Respond to questions regarding policies, procedures, and complex cases promptly.
• Train and onboard new Eligibility and Authorization coordinators.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and coach as needed.
• Escalate complex eligibility delays and coordinate with internal teams within 24 hours.
