Job summary

Texas Oncology Round Rock is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Medical Oncology Department in Round Rock, Texas. This full-time role is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with 4 clinic days and 1 administrative day weekly, and no weekends, calls, or major holidays.

The position will be classified as Level 1, Level 2, or Sr based on experience. APP duties include diagnostic and therapeutic patient care in collaboration with physicians and a busy schedule with compliance.

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing; NP licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Physician Assistant: NCCPA certification and PA licensure in practicing state; BLS/CPR.
• Clinical Nurse Specialist: MSN and CNS program completion; CNS licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care in collaboration with practice physicians.
• Document visits, educate patients and families, review diagnostics, prescribe medications and manage symptoms.
• Use Electronic Health Record effectively and ensure complete chart documentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team and refer to other providers as needed.
• Participate in tumor board, institutional trainings, and meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
