Job summary

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System-Sanford Health Watertown is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver specialized medical oncology and hematology care under physician direction. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and health professionals, patient advocacy, and development of tailored treatment plans.

You will order diagnostics, educate patients, and monitor response to therapy. SD licensing requirements include PA/NP certification, SD CDS, DEA, and RN licensure eligibility;

Qualifications

• Current certification from an accredited PA or NP program is required.
• South Dakota Controlled Substance Certificate and DEA license are required or eligible.
• Holds or is eligible for licensure as an RN in South Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Works in collaboration with physicians and other health professionals.
• Acts as an interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate.
• Interviews, assesses, and implements interventions/treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Monitors the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
• Addresses age-related education and safety needs of the patient.
• Orders diagnostic procedures.
• Provides counseling and education to meet patient needs.
• Prescribes and dispenses medications.
• Interacts professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
