Job summary

UPMC is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join the Hematology/Oncology team at Hillman Cancer Center in Mechanicsburg, PA. The position emphasizes outpatient medical oncology and hematology with occasional inpatient rounding at nearby hospitals.

The APP collaborates with oncologists, other APPs, RNs and allied staff to deliver comprehensive care, perform assessments, order and interpret tests, and develop treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ARC-PA–accredited PA program or equivalent NP training.
• Current Pennsylvania RN license and ARNP/CRNP certification.
• Active CPR certification and ability to obtain hospital privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient oncology/hematology care with independent clinical judgment.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families, participate in quality improvement and interdisciplinary rounds.
