Johns Hopkins Hospital invites an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality oncology care within the Oncology Evaluation and Treatment Center. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized treatment plans and ensure comprehensive patient support.

The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts (7a–7p, 11a–11p, 7p–7a), with responsibilities spanning assessment, treatment administration, and patient education in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Maryland.
• National certification as an NP or PA.
• Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical skills in oncology care, including chemotherapy administration and symptom management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the oncology team.
• Administer treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and symptom management.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Participate in oncology clinical trials and research initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
