Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Columbus, OH seeks a physician eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) to join the medical staff. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, comprehensive benefits, and a potential student loan repayment through EDRP.

Licensure and board eligibility are required, with application within four months of appointment. Responsibilities include direct patient care in a VA setting, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing CME

Qualifications

• US citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed only when allowed by VA policy)
• MD degree from an approved school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US
• Residency training approved by VA for board eligibility
• Board-certified or eligible for fellowship/board
• Provisions for PRPs and supervisor requirements as applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care as a VA physician and contribute to patient care outcomes
• Meet all basic and facility-specific requirements including licensure and board status
• Engage in continuous professional development and CME per VA policy
