Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP

Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks physicians eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) to join a VA medical facility. Applicants must meet basic requirements including U.S.

citizenship (or eligible non-citizen when allowed), a doctor of medicine or osteopathic degree, and a full, unrestricted medical license with VA-recognized residency training toward board eligibility. Non-US residencies with appropriate post-training practice may also be considered.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an school approved by the VA for the year of study.
  • Current, full and unrestricted medical license to practice in a U.S. state/territory/DC.
  • Completion of residency approved by VA in a core specialty leading to board eligibility.
  • Exceptions: PRPs may be appointed with alternate training and supervision as described.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physician care in a VA Medical Center setting in accordance with policy.

Education

Residency training approved by VA/ACGME or AOA
Board certification or eligibility for board certification
