Job summary

Lovelace Medical Group in Albuquerque, NM, seeks an oncologist to join a team of three dedicated oncologists and coordinate a comprehensive cancer program offering Medical, Radiation, and Breast Oncology services.

You will collaborate with the Pulmonology team via the ION robotic bronchoscopy program to support early lung cancer diagnosis and timely treatment in a multidisciplinary care model. The role includes working with RN Navigators, Infusion RN staff, Pharmacists, and a full support team.

Responsibilities

• Join a team consisting of three dedicated Oncologists
• Coordinate cancer program offering Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Breast Oncology services
• Collaborate with Pulmonology through the ION robotic bronchoscopy program for early lung cancer diagnosis and timely treatment
• Robust support staff including RN Navigator, Triage RN, Infusion RNs, Dietician, Pharmacist, Phlebotomists, and Medical Assistants
• 9 exam rooms and 12 bay infusion suite
• Patient volume: average of 16-20 patients per day in clinic
• Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce admin burden, improve patient flow and coding accuracy
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p
• Shared/rotating night/weekend call for inpatient consultations
• Oncology program features a newly installed Varian Edge Radiation Therapy System—the newest technology and first of its kind in Albuquerque, NM
