VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona in Mesa, AZ is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Medical Oncologist to join a world-class veterinary oncology program within a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital.

You will be supported by advanced diagnostics, a collaborative team, and opportunities to participate in clinical studies and continuing education. Flexible full- or part-time schedules offered with competitive compensation and benefits.

  • DVM degree with licensure to practice in the United States.
  • Board-certified in veterinary oncology or completed residency/training in oncology.

  • Provide expert oncology care for referral and emergency cases.

One of the top veterinary specialty centers in the Southwest. Specialty services include Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Oncology, Neurology, Radiology, Emergency Services, Successful rotating internship and specialty internships in surgery and internal medicine.

Dedicated diagnostic imaging team consists of three highly trained radiology technicians.

State‑of‑the‑art, 18,000 sq. ft. facility features newly renovated 34 bed ICU with 2 Snyder oxygen cages, Newport E360 critical care ventilator, isolation unit, 12 patient telemetry system, several multi‑parameter monitors.

Two Sound/Eklin DR systems, 64‑slice CT, 1.5 Tesla MRI, Logiq 9 US, DRE monitors, Storz Video Endoscopy & C‑arm fluoroscopy, newly designed minimally invasive surgical suite, USP 800 compliant oncology suite.

Two high quality ultrasounds, a full range of endoscopy equipment.

Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in (state), or the ability to obtain Residency Trained or Diplomate Board Certification.
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
