Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring an Onboarding Supervisor to lead new-hire training and integration on the production floor. You will guide onboarding activities from day one through 60 days or until the trainee is deemed qualified, tracking training hours, attendance, and retention metrics.

Role emphasizes safety policy enforcement, relationship-building with new hires and supervisors, and collaboration with HR and management to address training needs and ensure timely qualifications.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree or two years of college in HR/communications preferred but not required.
  • Experience in training or onboarding is a plus.
  • Ability to work on the plant floor and relate to production staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety policies are followed by new hires.
  • Oversee the onboarding experience from day 1 to 60 days or until qualified.
  • Administer and track new hire training metrics (hours, status, attendance, turnover).
  • Demonstrate hands-on training and coordinate with HR on training needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with new hires, peers, leaders, and clients.
  • Review production processes with supervisors and HR.

Pilgrim’s wantsYOUto join our Team as anOnboarding Supervisor! The salary for this position will be dependent on education and work experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned
  • Ensure all safety policies and expectations are being met by new hires
  • Manage the overall experience of new hires from day 1 to60 daysor when the new hire becomes qualified, whichever comes first
  • Administer, track, and evaluate all new hire floor training to include but not limitedto:hours of training per week, qualification status, attendance, turnover, fostering new hire/supervisor relationship, weekly meetings, other duties as assigned
  • Supervise anddemonstratehands on training fornew-hiresduring the training period and make recommendations to management and/or Human Resourcesregardingtraining needs,concernsand continued employment. Onboarding Coordinators spend 90% of their time on the production floor with the new hires
  • Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers,leadersand clients
  • Meet with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to review production processes and product specifications
  • Participate on HR & company committees
  • Fulfill these key performance indicators:30- and60-dayretention, minimum of 2 Safety Observations per week, JSA completions of all new hires, and others as assigned
  • Meet the following expectations: instill all Pilgrims’ values, no new hires moved, complete all training documents, ensure trainees are qualified timely, complete weekly meetings with new hires and supervisors, follow up with superintendent and training supervisor on any new hire issues, focus all attention and resources on new hires and their successful on boarding
  • Other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,and ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma/ GED;Associates Degreeor two years of college coursework in Communications, HR, or similar field preferred but notrequired; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Highly motivational and positive, considered a great people person
  • Previoustraining experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable in all duties of the specific department
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Professional communication and demeanor
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner to employees
  • Disciplined, confident and self-starter
  • Able to work independently
  • Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment
  • Must have great attendance record and be in good standing
